WORKING AT MARE

We’re Hiring Contract Therapists
M.A.R.E. Riding Center is seeking licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our interdisciplinary team on a contract basis to provide equine-assisted therapy services.

This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about innovative therapy, love working outdoors with horses, and want to make a meaningful impact with children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services using equine-assisted interventions

  • Collaborate with instructors, aides, and families to support participant goals

  • Complete documentation and treatment plans per professional standards

  • Ensure safety, quality, and alignment with PATH Intl. and professional guidelines

  • Participate in team meetings and program development as needed

 

Who You Are:
Licensed OT, PT, or SLP in the state of California
Experience or interest in hippotherapy or equine-assisted therapy (training available)
Comfortable working around horses and in a barn environment
Compassionate, flexible, and team-oriented
Strong communication and documentation skills

 

Position Details:

  • Independent contractor position

  • Flexible scheduling based on caseload

  • Competitive per-session compensation
